Squat at 77%

I went in earlier than usual. Gym closed at 7pm because tonight is the eve of Remembrance Day. Gym will close at 7pm tomorrow because it will be the eve of Independence Day. A day of sorrow followed by a day of joy. Most tv channels don't broadcast tonight, out of respect. The Israeli news channels show the ceremony from the Western Wall, and follow with the stories of fallen soldiers.

Holy moley, Maspik, for a woman who hates lunges, you are really sinking your teeth into them. I really enjoy visiting your blog because I always,ALWAYS learn something.

I loved the short story that you posted yesterday. Very good interpretation on your part. Since I'm a French literature freak, I have to say that I liked the telling as much as the plot. It prompted me to apply for a new job. Also, thanks for providing two translations.

The photos of late were just wonderful. You put such a personal face on a country I'll never see.

Also, I really enjoy learning about Israeli culture. For example, the fact the the tv stations do not broadcast.

I used to be "Making Muscles", but now I have a new persona. I'm still going to the gym with the same flabby infrequency of yore.

My best to you,

Caroline - thanks for the compliments! And why never see? Israel will be here for awhile (Iran's blithering notwithstanding), and I hope you get a chance to visit. "Flabby infrequency" is better than not going at all. Everyone makes the transition in their own good time, so do what works for you, and eventually you'll be back to making muscles, if that's where you want to be. Good luck! Oh, and any French lit reccommendations?

I note you are pyramiding your sets, starting light, building, then declining. What's the logic.
